midnight theater

watched ‘Midnight Cowboy’
.
heard some critic speaking highly of it.
it's about nyc 50 years ago.
an old song goes Tokyo Desert but definitely not as lonesome as it is in the movie.
it felt just like being thrown out in the space.
both the music and image were sharp.
the two leading actors also impressed me.
it sent chills down my spine.

Ume no hana

We don’t make as much fuss over plum trees as cheery blossoms after all.
They are not showy flowers.
but that is the beauty of them.
they bloom sometimes under snow, and hold long making viewers feel warm.

seasonal treats

sakuramochi consists of a sweet pink mochi and red bean paste, and covered with a leaf of sakura.
They are available only from January to march, which is ahead of the actual sakura bloom season. Leaves are salted from the previous seasons. Its magnetic aroma comes from organic compounds called coumarin. Anyway, it’s so chewy yummy I would say that is my soul food.
