Goldfish scooping

Goldfish scooping is a traditional game in Japan. Japanese summer festivals commonly have a stall for this activity. You pay around 1$, and get a paper scooper. You can bring what you caught home. Since the way goldfish swim gives us a sense of coolness, it is midsummer activities. Some people are great at it, while kids or beginners end up getting none.

Nishiki Tenman-gu shrine


at the end of the market, you see Tenman-gu, which is a Shinto shrine in the middle of the city center, enshrines as a Shinto god.
There is a well springing from the earth.
The vegi and tofu shops thrive on the sacred fresh water.
