Tonight is new year’s eve on Japanese traditional calendar, which is similar to Chinese calendar but slightly different. That means, officially tomorrow will be the first day of spring.
Japanese apricot flowers, a sign of early spring are blooming.
I'm so glad to see more "Happy LUNAR New Year!"s around this time. I swear, even up until the last year, seemed like a lot of people were calling it "Chinese New Year," to my great annoyance, and whenever I said Happy Lunar New Year, I might have come off as if I was making some pedantic statement. Anyhow, Happy Lunar New Year!
